Aurora is a pretty name!

once upon a time in a land far far away
there lived a princess in a beautiful castle
her father was King and her mother, Queen
and she got everything she cared to asked for
Princess Aurora didnt ask for many things
she didnt need to, they were given.
she led a lavish life
full of pretty things many would kill to have
precious stones and gold coins
so many it wld take forever to count.
the princess liked to read in her room
because her room was her sanctuary
where she cld hide away from it all
what does a princess have to hide from?, you ask
well. everybody hides from something
and she'd like to keep her secrets from you.
the princess loved to read
she read all kinds of books.
romances and murder mysteries,
fantasy and the harry potter series. (:D)
she loved a good book she could immerse herself in
and pretend she was a part of that world,
at least for a while
she could live another life.
a lavish life she led,
but a lonely one, how sad.
her friends were few and far too different
they could never understand her pains.
it took too long before she realised
reading was her escape route from life.
she found in books what she didnt have
she felt so free and safe.
in books she knew to go right or left
in reality she was a big mess.
her way of escapism was her books
she really had no one to turn to.
the lives of princesses were lonely,
unless you had siblings
or until you found your prince
the princess life was a lonely one.
Princes, she read about many
they were the heroes in fairytales of love.
Love, she knew so little about
where was her own hero and happy ending?
Fairytales, she lived in one it seemed
but she had never met a fairy. (hahah)
in the books she loved so much
these things were aplenty
but in her boring life
she wished so much for some storybook magic
where a prince would come and sweep her off her feet
with his gorgeous personality and charm
he'd be the perfect person for her
and then she'll find her happily ever after
yes, she was a dreamer
but hey, a girl can dream yeah?
but until her story is written and the chapters finished
she'd wait patienly for her prince.
